President
Meredith McComas, PE, brings two decades of civil engineering experience, with a career largely focused on land development and infrastructure projects throughout Virginia. As President of Sorba Engineering, she leads the firm in advancing its mission to deliver high quality, client focused civil engineering services while positioning Sorba for continued growth.

Tim Geraghty, PE
Project Manager
Tim Geraghty brings more than 15 years of civil engineering experience, supported by a strong technical foundation in land surveying. Beginning his career as a surveyor gave Tim a ground-level understanding of site conditions, construction sequencing, and how design decisions translate into the field. This experience continues to shape his practical approach to civil engineering.
Tim specializes in utility design and wet utility modeling and brings extensive knowledge of construction methods and field practices to complex site design challenges. His ability to anticipate construction impacts and identify practical, constructible solutions helps streamline project delivery and reduce risk.
Scott Miller, PE
Project Manager
Scott Miller, PE, brings more than a decade of civil engineering experience supporting federal projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic and internationally. His experience spans projects of varying scale and complexity, from targeted site redevelopments to large-scale new development, and from early conceptual studies through final design and construction.
Scott’s technical expertise includes stormwater management, as well as complex site design and advanced 3D grading. He is an experienced project manager who excels at coordinating multidisciplinary teams and navigating the technical, logistical, and scheduling challenges associated with complex federal and overseas embassy projects.
Riley Martin, PE
Project Manager
Riley Martin, PE, brings over five years of land development civil engineering experience, with expertise in site design, grading, stormwater management, utility infrastructure, and permitting. Her broad technical background allows her to contribute throughout the project lifecycle, coordinating complex design requirements and developing practical, constructible solutions that respond to both site conditions and client objectives.
Her passion for engineering extends beyond her project work to developing the next generation of engineers through training and mentorship.
